Your admissions journey with Wise Childcare

The admissions process as clear and supportive as possible, ensuring you feel confident every step of the way. Here’s a general overview of what to expect.

Step 1: Get in touch

The very first step is simple: email me to express your interest. We'll respond promptly to discuss your child's needs and how Wise Childcare can be the perfect fit.

Step 2: Learn about availability

Joining Wise Childcare means becoming part of a nurturing family.  A minimum attendance of two days per week ( 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, term time only) is required to support consistency and secure attachments. I operate a waiting list, and places are offered on  a first-come, first-served basis once both the childminder and the family feel we are a positive and suitable match.

Step 3: Settling in sessions

Once accepted, I will guide you through my comprehensive settling-in programme, tailored to your child's needs. This ensures a gentle transition, allowing your child to feel secure and happy, ready to thrive in my environment.

An outstanding start to early years education

At Wise Childcare, I provide more than standard childcare. I offer a thoughtfully structured early years experience that blends purposeful learning, enriching outdoor exploration, and a deep understanding of child development.

Rated Ofsted Outstanding (2022), my setting provides children with the confidence, independence, and strong foundations they need to thrive both now and in the future.

The nurturing and safe environment

Nestled in a home-based setting, my purpose-adapted conservatory provides a calm, structured learning space. With a secure garden for outdoor play and CCTV for added peace of mind, I create an environment where children feel safe, loved, and ready to explore.

Developing resilience, confidence & independence

My curriculum emphasises holistic development, with significant time spent outdoors, including weekly 'Forest Tuesday'. This approach fosters resilience, confidence, and independence, ensuring children develop exceptionally well and are fully prepared for their next stage of education.
